A Marine serving in Iraq, played by the always-gorgeous Zac Efron, travels to North Carolina in search of a woman he sees in a photo ’cause he believes she’s a good-luck charm who saved his life. It’s one of the most romantic movies we’ve seen in a while, but it’s probably best viewed with your girls as it may be a bit slushy for the average lad’s liking!

Terrified of being put back into foster care, Katie, a vocally gifted girl of 17 is forced to do whatever her wicked stepmother and stepsiblings ask. This includes laying down singing tracks so her untalented stepsister, Bev, can win a record deal and a place at a prestigious performing arts school. Meanwhile, the record label's boss wants his son, Luke - played by the gorge Feddie Stroma - follow in his footsteps as a producer, which Luke is less than excited about. A fun kinda film but hardly an original story!
